My introduction to RS propellants came when the first test batches of TR140 (RS50) and Elcho 17 (RS60) arrived in the country. I quickly made the switch, drawn by the brand’s innovation and performance. Since then, the product range has expanded, delivering batch-to-batch consistency, temperature stability, and advanced chemistry that offers a competitive edge. RS powders have played a crucial role in my success at Open Meetings, helping me achieve multiple scores of 403 and 404 over a Sovereign’s I/II/III course of fire, though the elusive 405 maximum remains an ambition.

I relish the challenge of shooting at new ranges, and my journey has taken me to Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Germany, Guernsey, India, Jersey, the Netherlands and Switzerland, as well as to ranges all over the UK.

Beyond shooting, I enjoy applying my expertise in software, electronics, and automation to reloading projects. My work includes developing very fast, high-precision powder dispensers, a temperature-controlled induction annealer, a progressive press automation system, and CNC cut rifling technology – each designed to enhance efficiency and precision while incorporating novel features and techniques.
